Q: Any opinions on Dr. Jason Bailey, Chiropractor – Bailey Chiropractic Life Center in Miami, FL?
A: No opinion on Bailey but in reference to the previous response. A chiro does not need to be a member of the ACA (american chiropractic association). They do need to be a member of their state association. In addition to that, there are several associations which most chiros will normally belong to one other than their state assoc. For example, their is the WCA (world chiro alliance), ICPA, IFCO- and a few others. So, not having membership specifically in the ACA means nothing.
Q: Chiropractic question?
Ok so i went to a Chiropractic center and they told me one of the mane reason that i have headaces all the time is because i sleep on my stomach and that makes my neck strait instead of curved so is this true?
A: That is correct, your neck has a natural curve and when it is pressed sideways for long periods of time (6-10 hours while you sleep) your muscles become very tight and pull your bones slightly out of place. If you continue to sleep that way eventiually the problem will begin to spiral down your back and you will notice lower back pain and hip pain as well.
If you are uncomfortable with chiropractic care, go to see a massage therapist. By changing your sleeping patterns and getting those neck muscles loosened up, you should be able to get relief from those tension headaches without the use of drugs. It was very hard for me to get used to sleeping on my back, but once I broke myself of the bad sleeping habits my headaches all but disappeared.
Best of luck to you!
Chiropractors are “real” doctors. They have their doctorates in chiropractic medicine and have to take the same Human Biology prerequisites as MDs before attending chiropractic school. They have the same amount of hours in the classroom as MDs , only chiropractors take twice as many hours of diagnostics, and MDs take twice as many hours of pharmacology.

Q: i need to know if there is anyway to obtain a list of all accident records for the past 30 days in oregon?
I help run a massage and chiropractic center and am trying to expand on my Motor Vehicle Accidents, therefore if i could somehow obtain a list every month for the accidents around here it would help me to expand.
A: Sure, just hire a few hundred thousand private investigators, and post one on every street corner, 24/7.
And people complain about lawyers….
Q: Has anyone ever heard of treating severe acne with chiropractic therapy?
My son was diagnosed with moderate to severe acne (closer to severe than moderate, says the doctor), he was told he should be put on accutane. I’ve heard a lot of horror stories, so I looked into alternative medicine. I took him to a wellnes center, they took x-rays since his neck was tender. They found that C1,2 & 3 vertabrae are really out of line. I believe it is C3 that is pushing on his pituitary gland, they feel that this could be the cause of his acne. Has anyone every heard of anything like this? He is receiving physical therapy. I really hope it works for him, he’s only 14 and he’s been dealing w/severe acne for almost a year now and I’m so sad for him. He and my husband don’t believe this is going to work and I’m constantly butting heads with their closed minds. I just want to find a safe and effective treatment for him. Please let me know if you have any info. Thanks! Evie
A: Yes, I have heard of this. I’ve never talked to anybody who said that chiropractic cured their acne, but it certainly can’t hurt to try! Accutane is a last resort, I agree totally with you.
I went to a chiropractor several years ago because I couldn’t get rid of these severe headaches. My neck was a little stiff, from working at a computer all th time. I also had sinus trouble and was taking Claritin D every day, year round.
This chiropractor really helped straighten me out. No more headaches, and a marked difference in the sinus trouble. I only take sinus medication occasionally now, and the spine at my neck is much more loose. When it gets stiff, I can move it around and feel it pop back into place… and immediately feel my sinuses draining, which gets rid of my headaches.
Chiropractic therapy can do a lot of things for people.
I personally believe that people shouldn’t need to keep on going for long periods of time, though. If he doesn’t get relief within a few months, then I’d say it’s time to move on to something else.
Q: what is chiropractic treatment?
is this treatment safe for my 59 yr old granma, how much does it cost, can any one suggest good treatment center in chandigarh, india
A: Chiropractors believe that good health needs a healthy nervous system and spinal column. When vertebrae become misaligned they place pressure on the nerves exiting the spinal cord. Chiropractors use techniques called adjustments to return the vertebrae into their proper positions or mobilize them so they can move freely.
Once performed, the adjustment allows the body to heal and maintain homeostasis.
Seeing a chiropractor would certainly be safe for your gramma.
Chiropractors are trained to evaluated and treat the whole body. Thus they have a tendency to look for causes, rather than just treating symptoms. They also will usually have more training in nutrition than medical doctors.
In the U.S. evaluations and adjustments are generally affordable.
Sorry, I couldn’t locate a Chiropractor near you.
Q: Condition causing my neck to tilt off center?
I’m a 22 year old female. A few years ago I began noticing that my neck, for some reason, wasn’t completely straight and vertical but had a slight tilt to the left. I sorta denied it for a while and assumed I maybe slept in a weird position the night before which caused it, but over the years it’s gotten more and more noticable (ie, a steeper and steeper angle!). It’s definitely not something I’m imagining. In pictures in which I’m supposed to look straight ahead (like my driver’s license), it looks like I’m purposely holding my neck to one side. It’s really embarrasing. Even when I try to hold it perfectly straight, I’m unable to. It’s like I don’t have the muscles in my neck to do it, or the spine is in such a position that it won’t let me.
I thought maybe it was scoliosis, which causes the spine to curve and become crooked, but I think that only affects the spine along the actual back. Can anyone give me some insight as to what this “condition” may be called? I’ve noticed other people who also have necks that tilt off center. Also, what type of doctor should I see about this? Orthopedist? Chiropractic?
A: There is actually a condition called Torticollis it is also called Wry Neck. It is where the neck (muscles in the neck) is slightly “twisted” which causes the head to tilt to one side.
You should look up this condition, There are treatment options available, Like applying heat often, and I would suggest frequent Massage by a Licensed Massage Therapist.
I am a LMT and deal with these problems often.
Good Luck!

Q: WHO SWEARS BY CHIROPRACTIC SERVICES? AND IF SO WHY?
MY FRIEND GOES TO A WELLNESS CENTER AND SWEARS SHE HAS NOT HAD A COLD ETC AFTER GETTING TREATED. I’VE BEEN TOLD THAT EACH VERTEBRA CONTROLS CERTAIN PARTS OF THE BODY AND THAT A PROPER ALIGNMENT OF THE SPINE IS THE ANSWER TO FEELING AND BEING HEALTHY IN ALL ASPECTS
A: I have done quite a bit of research on the subject of chiropractic treatment and do not believe the benefits out-weigh the risks…
There is much disagreement about both the effectiveness and risks involved with chiropractic treatment. In my opinion, it is the only thing that should needs to be said about chiropractic adjustment:
A chiropractor cannot “cure” your condition or any other– at best, they would just make your muscles feel better. It would be best to first see your doctor—a real physician—and be referred to a physical therapist or an orthopedic specialist. I would advise that your do everything you can to avoid chiropractic treatment, as it will often do more harm than good.
Chiropractors have to believe that everything causes conditions that only they can fix so they can convince patients that we can’t live comfortably without visits twice per week.
I had a stroke last year as a result of chiropractic treatment and have since made it a priority to raise awareness of the dangers of chiropractic care. I ask that anyone going to visit a chiropractor to be aware of the risks and make an informed decision about treatment.
Although the chiropractic community will argue that I don’t have a degree and I don’t know what I am talking about, I only want to make sure people considering chiropractic treatment that there are risks. I have nothing to gain from this. Can chiropractors say the same? Make sure you get both sides of the story!
Q: Manager has suspended me for her mistakes; owner of business won’t return my phone calls…. HELP!!!?
I started a job at a chiropractic center in January, the 14th, to be exact. I “trained” for 2 days before I began closing on my own. I made a few mistakes, but quickly corrected them and continued learning the their way of doing things.
Within a week, my manager began asking me about appointments that were booked wrong- and basically telling me that I ruined her morning/or afternoon because clients were upset that their appointments were either at the wrong time or not on the schedule at all! I thought it sounded funny, because I’m very experienced with the software they work on- I’ve worked with it before at a previous job. I began keeping track of all the appointments I made and making sure everything was perfect.
This week I was accused of shorting the drawer 2 days in a row; come to find out she miscounted a roll of dimes as “40″ rather than 50 on 1 day (yes, a huge deal was made about it) The second day she missed several rolls of coins and I had to point it out to her that day as well! This past weekend 3 people were booked for 1 appointment; when I asked who they spoke with- they all replied with her name. She blames me even as I type this, saying I should have made sure that everything was in the system correctly.
She asked if she could put me on probation yesterday, and told me not to clock in and took my key. I told her “No, because the mistakes happening around here aren’t from me. ” I was told that “probation period” is admitting fault. Is it?
She told me that this is a “work at will” state, and that she owes no explanation for letting me go. She has several clients who have written horrible reviews about the business online and her name comes up in quite a few of them! 2 of the reviews should have proved to her that she messed up the booking or what-not. Even then, she tried to connect it back to me.
This business is a franchise; I was told to call “Franchise Corporate”… I have to find out about it.
What would you do???
HELP!
***I know I have options; I’d just like to know the opinions of you kind people out there.***
I have called the owner several times and left a voicemail. She said she was on her way today w/the checks only for her husband to show up. At this point I’m at home and not being paid.
Thanks for the answers so far…. not looking too good, but I do appreciate the response.
A: I would say the owners have already picked their side and it is not you. Find another job and post your review of your job and company.*

Q: my boss accused me of steeling what should i do?
my boss accused me of steeling $16,000 what should i do. he put me on administrative leave with no pay. i’ve worked for him for almost seven years. i’ve never been convicted of any crime. I’m an honest person and work hard for me money. he says he need more patients all the time and there’s not a lot of money coming in. i don’t know if he’s taking money and the books aren’t adding up or what but he’s pointing the finger at me. i work at a chiropractic center. what should i do? please help me!
A: If you are an honest person then I honestly need tell you that you spelled ’stealing’ wrong.
Unless you actually meant ’steeling’ like you were laminating money with steel or something. If that is the case, your boss is really stupid.
Q: How long does Chiropractic care take, and when should I finally leave?
I’m aware of how many people want to take the opportunity to bash chiropractors, but I’ve already been to a very reputable doctor already (before I saw a chiropractor) who only prescribed an exercise rehabilitation program at an accredited center that didn’t help and cost just as much.
I’ve had a sharp pain under my left shoulder blade a general back stiffness and a sharp neck pain when I lean my head back (for over 10 years).
I selected a chiropractor who has operated for over 20 years that comes from a family of chiropractors. I don’t think he’s some sort of “quack” running a money scheme.
I’ve been through 9 treatments so far, and my back feels maybe 15% better if that. My original neck pain just shifted down and to the right. The original pain is gone, but this new pain is more-so constant and is really sharp if I take a big step or jump, etc. Is this normal?
I’d really appreciate comments from people who have actually been to a chiropractor, or from chiropractors as to how long they think I should stay or when I should go. Also, what are practical alternatives? I don’t want to be hooked on pain meds. I have an inversion table, and that doesn’t work.
Yes, I know I asked a similar question before, and I really do appreciate the input about docs vs. chiropractors.
But if they didn’t work at all at reducing pain, people simply wouldn’t go to them. That’s why this time I was hoping to get advice from those who have actually had pain and have gone to them for treatment to see what is “normal.”
A: As Dave pointed out, you’ve already had a fabulous answer to a similar question (lol…yes, mine)
You apparently learned nothing from that, so sure…keep asking it until you get an answer you can “believe” in.
What possible difference does it make that he comes from a family of chiropractors? Is he also the 7th son of a 7th son? Does he have the “stink eye” too?
Bottom line, you are clearly not getting better, and you should see someone else. However well meaning and sincere he may be, chiropractic, when it works is just physical therapy…and not everyone is any good at it.
Lightnings answer makes even less sense than usual, by the way, which is saying a lot.
Q: What treatment is best for back pain and tension?
I had a bike accident years ago and have been going to the Chiropractic Centre for years on and off. The last stint was 2 years, and i really don’t see a benefit. Yes it helps at the time, but then just goes back to how it was.
I have tried physiotherapy, however, this did not work either. I am now going to try a combination of deep tissue massage, to get the tension out, combined with reflexology as it has been highly recommended and I am in two minds about whether Palates will help my posture or make the problem worst!
Any advice would be good.
A: Hello – I had very bad tension and pain in my shoulders and back some time ago and was in agony. I tried Bowen Therapy. It is very, very gentle and resets the energy balance in your muscles. You can Google it for more info. Initially you will feel worse for a short time as your body corrects the energy imbalance… only a day or so. Then it’s like magic and you may feel wonderful – that is if it works the same for you as it did for me. I highly recommend it. Sometimes massage and other types of heavy manipulation of the muscles only exacerbates problems. Bowen Therapy is totally different, but works. And the benefits last a long time unlike massage, where you have to keep going back.
Good luck – I hope whatever you decide on, it works for you.
Q: Western biomedical health centers tend to favor?
Explain why western biomedical health centers tend to favor integration of some disciplines such as chiropractic and massage therapy over others such as homeopathy, Bach flowers and indigenous healing.
A: Chiropracty and massage therapy do have some falsifiable results, thus their acceptance in the West – if on a less than universal scale.
Homeopathy, indigenous healing, and many like mannered superstitious nonsense therapies are rejected for the frauds that they are.
