Q: What is the closest Chiropractic college near New Hampshire?
I wasn’t sure. Does anyone know?

A: University of Bridgeport in Ct and New York Ciropractic college on Long Island

Q: Human chiropractic. I need Help!!!?
I am looking at becoming an equine chiropractor after first studying to be a human chiro first. Can anyone tell me how long it will take to become a fully qualified human chiropractor? I am looking at doing this in the New Zealand chiropractic college or Palmer college or McTimoney. Thanks.
Also how much does a chiropractor get per year in money? Human or Equine.

A: It takes 4 or 5 years to qualify as a chiropractor depending on where you do it.
You can then do post grad courses in Equine techniques which vary from a couple of weekends to a couple of years diploma with 1000 hours practice.
Human Chiropractic is well regulated but equine is unregulated.
If you haven’t started the course already you may also want to considere osteopathy. This will also give you a good grounding in manual therapy and there are lots of courses in Equine technique.

Not sure what Chiros get in NZ but Osteo’s should be able to pull in $100,000 nz once established.

NB. There is a world of difference between McTimoney Chiropractic and Palmer Chiropractic. They are completely different animals!

Q: Does the new GI Bill cover Doctor of Chiropractic Degree?
As i see it covers graduate and undergraduate degrees, and vocational/technical training, licensing and certification…. would it cover a 4 year Chiro college?

A: Chiropractic falls under graduate degree or “advanced degree.” Therefore, yes it does.

Q: Human chiro. Someone answers asap please… And Equine!!!?

Q: what are the best colleges to go to practice physical theorapy/ chiropractics?
i live in the new england area but am willing to go anywhere for a good school. my grades are mainly mid to high b’s with the occasional A. so whats a pretty good college to go to for this? any suggestions are appreciated.
thanks!

A: My very successful Physical Therapist friends graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and my successful Chiropractor buddies from Texas Chiropractic College. Both are in Texas and are really good schools.

Q: I can’t choose a career path!?
Okay so I’m moving to a new city in a few weeks, to go to Chiropractic College… my family has a chiropractic business that does VERY well and I feel that it’s stupid for me not to do it as well. I’m getting scared, because I am not the smartest person in the world.. there are other career paths I’ve been interested in, but I could never decide. I feel like I’m just doing this because I will have a job set up for me after I graduate (in like 4 freakin years), I will hopefully meet my husband in school there, and I will make AWESOME money. I’m stressing out though.

A: Go take a bubble bath and then come back and read the rest of my answer…

Back yet? Good… Now you’re not so stressed. Just relax and know that everyone has that problem. Everyone is afraid that they could take a different path and what would be best. That is part of why decision making is so hard. If you enjoy what your family does, do it. If you enjoy doing something else, do that! Do whatever makes you happiest. There are plenty of ways to make money, and you may have to work harder doing something that makes you happy (art is a great example) but why would anyone want to work in a job that makes them so unhappy that they just want to give up every day, but make millions? Ridiculous I tell you. Sit down and think about what makes you happiest and go with that path. As far as careers are concerned, doing what makes you happiest will be your best bet. You will find someone that makes you happy anywhere, eventually. Hey, you may meet him tomorrow. You don’t know. There is no guarantee. Just go with the flow on that one and hope for the best. I hope you decide the best for yourself. Good luck!

Q: Which of these colleges are decent?
Lately a few colleges have been showing interest in me, but aside from a few I’m not sure if they’re as great as I would like them to be. Could to please tell me which of these colleges you’ve ever heard of? By the way, I am an extremely hard-working student with good grades so I am aiming for a higher level college. Not Ivy League by any means, but higher.

Lawrence Technological University
Reed
University of New Haven
Wellesley
Brightstorm
Palmer College of Chiropractic
Milwaukee School of Engineering
Kettering University
Heidelberg College
Kalamazoo
Chadron
Utah State
Fresno Pacific
Carleton College
Mount Mary College
University of Machias, Maine

Thank you so much!

A: The top schools on this list, in terms of selectivity, are:

Carleton
Wellesley
Reed

While Kalamazoo is a good college, it’s not in the league of the ones above and none of the others are even close.

Q: Please help me, Allstate won’t pay any medical from a car accident?
I don’t know who to turn to other then an attorney. My daughter who is in her first year of college got rear ended by a driver at about 25-30 mph. Allstate is calling this a “low speed impact” and trying to apply a program called “MIST” to it. The driver who hit my daughter had his car fully smashed on his front. My daughter needed only a new bumper and bumper brace. This cost $1188. She was taken to ER. Released with rec to follow up. Given pain meds, muscle relaxers, etc.

She missed ten days of school, had to get an MRI and receive chiropractic treatment. She was VERY sore, muscles in neck were swollen to visibility.

Allstate says only soft tissue damages, and basically she should have just sat on her buttt for a month until it got better. Don’t we have the right to make sure she was not permanently damaged? How can they not pay this medical? This is crazy! My daughter only asks that her med bills be paid, nothing more. Bills are $8600 total. Why does she have to pay them?

A: It depends on the state you are in. If you are in a No fault state that has a tort threshold, and your daughter only suffered soft tissue injures – then she would not qualify to pursue an injury claim – as for medical bills – they would be paid by your no fault carrier. If you are not in a no-fault state, but have med pay on your policy, you can pursue the bills under your med pay coverage. Or you can pursue it under your private health.

I’m going to be honest with you, $1188 is not a life altering impact to her vehicle, granted it’s not a scratch, but it’s not a hard heavy impact – it would be IMPOSSIBLE that a vehicle going 25-30 mph would cause only $1188 to her vehicle. I’ve been hit at about 30 mph and it caused over $7K to the rear of my car.

As for Allstate not paying the medicals – they may be attempting to compromise due to the “low impact nature of the accident.” I highly doubt they are trying to deny the claim correct? As for the medical bills – if your private health did pay them, Allstate would only owe reimbursement for what they paid. Say the bills did total $8600, but your private health only paid $1K and the hospital/medical providers wrote off the remaining $7600, then Allstate would only owe $1K. It’s hard to give you more specific advice as we don’t know what state your in.

If those bills are outstanding – YES your daughter is the one responsible for them, or if she is a minor, you are responsible – as she is the one who racked up the bills, not Allstate. Allstate is only responsible to reimburse for reasonable and necessary treatment. They may have deemed the treatment unreasonable and unnecessary. If you are unable to come to an agreement with them, you may need to seek outside legal advice to sort out the matter.

Good Luck.

Q: Do outside sales/inside sales jobs prefer no experience or is there a trick that I dont get?
I’ve been applying to inside outside sales jobs(account executive and manager) and doing pretty good in the interviews but getting very few offers. Keep in mind these are entry level positions requiring 1-3 years of experience. I’m a recent grad from college and have had much more part time experience than any of my friends while in school. These jobs came with much greater responsibilities as well. So basically I dont know if theres somthin on the resume that scares them away or what it is that makes these deals fall through. Most of my friends were able to land these jobs that require 1-5 years of experience with pretty much 0 expererience or at best it would be very unrelated to the job. Keep in mind most didn;t have an IN or a contact in there that would place them in the company. Any idea what im doing wrong or whats wrong on my resume? I do good on interviews and the main concern for hiring managers is that I have no B2B sales experience it seems. Only the first company is my first real full time job.

A: If you are getting interviews it is probably not your resume. Though I have to tell you that your resume is all over the place and you do not quantify your accomplishments as much as list your duties.

So, my assumption is that you are doing something in the interview that blows it.

Maybe it is the answer to your 5/10 year plan you are telling the interviewer “my plans are not to be here”.

Or, you just are not coming across as a solid sales personality type.

Or, you are not asking enough relative questions.

Or, one of a million ways applicants shoot themselves in the foot without knowing it.

Truly, hard to tell.

But if you are getting interviews, I would look at either your interview skills or your references.

Q: What makes the most money?
alright so i’m about to go to college next year, and have what i want to do *kind of* narrowed down, im not asking for a straight answer, some suggestions would be nice though. do what you love- seriously i’ve thought about this for so long, just something that makes good money, i don’t have to worry about job security all the time, and provides for my family.

first off: never really tried in high school, 2.3 gpa, 60% attendance, 23 act, 132 I.Q. and i will be trying as hard as i can next year, i just always new i had to go to com. college first two years cuz my parents thought it was better, so i never tried/did the bare minimum. brother/sister did the same thing, both successful, i=hardest worker in family as well, 2 jobs, 2 varisty sports since 15.

mom runs state of michigans prison health care system, dad runs 3 chiropractic practices..

considerations:

1.) Chiropractics: Dad does this, runs 3 practices, makes over 1.5 mil a year, no joke, he knows what he’s doing, chiropractor for detroit lions/redwings, and the practices) I would inherit alot of this from him as well, after working under him. the only problem is that i’ve been reading that insurances are starting to cut it, so it might not be worth it.

or any other suggestions with good job security, good money, decent pay right outta college.

2.) sometype of law, i have no idea what, i’m real witty and like to defend people..

3.) journalism/some type of writing: i can write real good, teachers always told me to go into it, seems kind of boring though, but i mean, if i’m really that good.

4.) business/advertising/marketing/communications: pretty cool work all around, meet new people, and you can climb ladders which wouldnt be hard since im a real hard worker. im real good with people too, but i do get kinda irritable so i wouldnt want to be with them ALL the time, im just kind of worried about ending up in a shitty job or not being able to find any work in this field.

i just need to make up my mind in the next two years and have no idea what to do.

A: Do law. All that arguing will pay off ;)

Q: Need Advice from chiropractors!?
I am a college student majoring in biology and am thinking about attending chiropractic school.
I want to work independently, but I am a little weary of that. I was wondering about being sued by patients. Obviously, I will be certified, but these days you must watch out for those types of people. (Like the woman who sued the fast food joint for spilling her hot coffee on herself). Anyways, to the chiropractors, Is it common for chiropractors to get sued over “malpractice?” If so, what happens next? That is the only thing that is holding me back. I have read and read about chiropractic as a career and it seems like the right career choice..
Also, any opinions on the best chiropractic schools? I am having trouble narrowing it down and I really don’t want to travel around the US touring schools! I am interested in Palmer, New York, Connecticut, and Georgia. I live in the east so I would like to stay around here, but if not, thats ok.

A: Don’t worry about being sued. Chiropractors are one of the least likely to be sued, and their very low malpractice premium reflects that. You’re worrying for something way too early for you. There are numerous ways to protect yourself. You’ll figure it all out by the time you graduate.

As for school, there’s only one to go. Life University in Atlanta. When you’re down there, master the Gonstead technique. Chiropractors who are able to do Gonstead are always the top of their profession. I only refer patients to Gonstead chiropractors, no other.

Q: Will you be my financial mentor?
Have you ever considered, how rewarding being a mentor will be?

You could find yourself filled with the joy and excitement of helping someone who is dedicated to learning.

If you love to help people and have first hand knowledge of how to escape the rat race and live a more fulfilling life. Then please consider sharing your success with me.

I am stuck in a rut. I have been in college for the past 7 year 4 for undergrad and 3 for graduate education. I was going to be a doctor of chiropractic. However after capping out my student loans at a sleepless night generating 224k of debt, I ran out of money 6 months before graduating. Disenchanted with school and the chiropractic profession as a whole I am left broke trying to find a new and better life.

I am recently married and while things are good with my wife and I we are STRUGGLING financially. I have applied to over 150 jobs within the past month and received only 2 call backs, both of which turned out to be scams that wasted my valuable time.

I am looking for a mentor to help me become financially independent. The ideal avenue would be through online revenue however I am open to any one who can teach me to make money.

I can not pay for this service at this time but I am a big believer that you get 10 fold what you give. God bless those who help others in need and I will personal make it my duty to repay you 10 fold for the help in whatever way I can even if its going to be a while down the road.

There has to be more to life then this. Please help me turn things around I will forever be in your debt.

I am looking for a serious person who loves to help.

A: Why do you feel you should get a service for free that everyone else pays for? Over entitled much?

Q: I need help on a job situation!!?
Okay, I currently work as a Chiropractic Assistant. I have been here for about 5 months yesterday (the 21st) and I don’t like it. At all.

In my town, they are building a Community Center, and I’ve spoken to the director, who seems really nice, about part time jobs, and the duties I would have to and things like that, and I really want to work there. But, working part time AND going to college at the same time would leave me busy CONSTANTLY.

I need office experience. If I work at the Community Center, I would get office experience there. Should I stay here and finish off at least a year? Or should I move to the Community Center and work there full time? The Chiropractor has been having some rough times these past years, and I would feel terrible leaving him. But I don’t like working here!! I would definitely love to try something new, and I think I would be happier working at the Fitness Center. Also, my boyfriend works right next door so it would be much easier with the going back and forth thing!! I don’t know what to do.
I should say, I need more job experience. It’s good to have at least two years, but I know that I can get the job at the Community Center, because he is hiring now, and I have already spoken to him, and I know he likes me. SO I could totally get the job over there. It’s just a matter of quitting the Chiropractor’s office. I could finish getting work experience at the Community Center.

A: 5-6 months of employment is okay. People who work jobs vs careers stay on average less than one year. You anticipate that you will stay at the Community Center for a longer period of time, so make yourself a goal when you start to not quit until you have worked there for a minimum of one year.
It is ok to quit a job that you don’t like at all, it is also hard to find a job that you like during or after high school as you are usually working with older people who will treat you by your age and not as an equal.
If you don’t accept the job at the Community Center you will stay at the Chiro Office and wonder if you made a bad decision.
I am a married mother with two children (when read properly, the last statement indicates that I am a caregiver to three individuals). I am a college student full time, currently have two part-time jobs and somehow I have time for everyone and everything.
You will be much happier at the Community Center and that is why you must go there – Don’t make the mistake of not giving your current employer proper notice, otherwise he won’t give you a good reference when you get the job you are in school for and you would have wasted half a year.

Q: K. Just read for the 10th time, Obama’s plan for America. When he continues to say things about medicare and?
social security and other entitlement programs-what does he mean? I did it the right way. Got married, had kids, was a stay at home mom and we sacrificed for me to do so, went to college, became a psych. SW and worked for 6 yrs on the Adm Unit of a psych ward when a patient whacked me in the back several time mis-aligning 4 of the 7 vert. I had. I was advised by 3 Drs to sign up for disability-some were medical (we’ll fuse it together) and chiropractic-we can fix this but with the muscles and ligaments involved it will take a very long time. 7 yrs.(I did not sign up for disability) Then I got breast cancer and thank everyone there is a program that pays for everything. But, I have to stay on the program and SSI in case it returns. So what do I do,, I am 56, the world is going to heck and my husband wants me to go to work. If I do I lose the medical coverage and no med.coverage at a job will cover a pre-existing condition so I’d have to quit and do treatment, again. At the same time my husband became an over the road trucker. After 6 yrs another trucker side-swiped him and left the scene. Fast forward to today. He is on disability because no Dr will sign a DOT med. release. He has had 4 surgeries on his shoulder and 1 knee replacement for now. I guess my question is if I donate $1 from my $200 a month I now receive and if every other SSI or SSDI recipient does the same, when will the 700 million dollar give away be paid off?? Thanks Be to God I sold my ‘new’ home in 1994 and bought one with cash. No mortgage. But, I do have a lien for my student loans-I’ve already asked Pres Elect Obama for amnesty so I can receive my stimulus package. Yup, they took that too. So, in what way is this presidency going to help us in this situation. Personally, I’m already feeling a little pressure where I sit.

A: I don’t like how you said that you did everything the right way. There are many ways. Whether it is right or wrong is based on the person and what they believe in, not what they’re told. All i can say is..just try to make it through with what you have and be open to any and all opinions you may come across

Q: Good online school for Bachelors – HR?
I’ve been in Human Resources Mgmt now for more than 10 years. After high school, I completed my general ed requirements then went on to Chiropractic School, completed 2/3 of the program before I realized I didn’t want to be a Chiropractor, then left to start a new career. I have been seeking to complete my Bachelor’s degree for several years now but never had the time for traditional classes and online universities like U of Phoenix and Capella don’t offer the reputation I need to excel in my career. I’ve been looking into Empire State College and find it may serve my needs well and is affordable. I plan on applying to a high ranking university that offers an online masters degree after completing the Bachelors but I am concerned that Empire State may be looked down upon during the admissions process. Do you have any thoughts on this or any suggestions that can help me achieve my ultimate goal?

A: May be this site can help you
