Q: What style of chiropractic practice fits with your idea of sickness, health and wellness?
A: I have found NUCCA chiropractic to be the most effective. I won’t go to any others now. Good luck!
Q: Has anyone heard of the chiropractic practice called: Griggs Institute for Sports and Wellness?
i’m for sure bcause it was my dad’s practice
A: Never heard of it. sorry.
Q: What is the best health insurance for someone who wants good chiropractic coverage?
I am shopping for health insurance for my family (my husband, myself, and our baby). I believe that chiropractic care is an important part of wellness, but I’m having a hard time finding a program that sufficiently covers chiropractic work. Any suggestions? Anyone have an insurance plan that has great chiropractic coverage?
A: health-quotes.isgreat.org – here is my health insurance plan. As I remember they can provide such a service.
Q: What animal should i use for my logo?
The animal is for a chiropractic/nutrition/wellness clinic…I want the animal to signify a new start or beginning. I was thinking like a phoenix(you know, the bird that appears from ashes), what animal or insect should I use as a logo for my wellness clinic.
A: this might seem random but i would use a kangaroo because it shows that the mother will take good care of its child and this would say to the patients that youll take care of them like a kangaroo.
Q: Chiropractic patient retention?
I work as a chiropractor. A lot of my patients drop out of care before their treatment plan has been met, The patients that do follow through, still do not return for any monthly or 3 month follow up for wellness adjustments. What is the best way to communicate the “big idea” of chiropractic without being salesman like or pushy. I know my ROF needs help, so I think this would be a start. If anyone has ways to improve patient retention through ROF or any other means, please let me know. Thanks
A: The fact that you are asking the question [how to retain patients through any means] is telling the whole story. And this is why I believe so many chiropractors (like yourself) are treating patients dishonestly and unethically. The primary goal revolves around you, not the patient. Chiropractors love to appear like the “good guy”, while claiming that MD’s are in the back pocket of big pharma and they poison your body with harmful drugs. That’s all BS. MD’s have patients flooding their doors for one reason – their treatments are effective! They don’t need to be salespeople. In fact, patients often complain that they don’t like their MD, but they still go back. Your only goal is increase your patient visits. How do you not feel like a sleaze-ball quack?
Q: my company is having a wellness week. we need to bring in different people who are willing to give free advise
chiropractic services
massages
A: Diets are Number One Get a Curves Sponsor or Health Club Sponsor a free physical clinic doctor or a nurse for physical mental lecture or HMO Blue Cross Health Care Coordinator.
Q: WHO SWEARS BY CHIROPRACTIC SERVICES? AND IF SO WHY?
MY FRIEND GOES TO A WELLNESS CENTER AND SWEARS SHE HAS NOT HAD A COLD ETC AFTER GETTING TREATED. I’VE BEEN TOLD THAT EACH VERTEBRA CONTROLS CERTAIN PARTS OF THE BODY AND THAT A PROPER ALIGNMENT OF THE SPINE IS THE ANSWER TO FEELING AND BEING HEALTHY IN ALL ASPECTS
A: I have done quite a bit of research on the subject of chiropractic treatment and do not believe the benefits out-weigh the risks…
There is much disagreement about both the effectiveness and risks involved with chiropractic treatment. In my opinion, it is the only thing that should needs to be said about chiropractic adjustment:
A chiropractor cannot “cure” your condition or any other– at best, they would just make your muscles feel better. It would be best to first see your doctor—a real physician—and be referred to a physical therapist or an orthopedic specialist. I would advise that your do everything you can to avoid chiropractic treatment, as it will often do more harm than good.
Chiropractors have to believe that everything causes conditions that only they can fix so they can convince patients that we can’t live comfortably without visits twice per week.
I had a stroke last year as a result of chiropractic treatment and have since made it a priority to raise awareness of the dangers of chiropractic care. I ask that anyone going to visit a chiropractor to be aware of the risks and make an informed decision about treatment.
Although the chiropractic community will argue that I don’t have a degree and I don’t know what I am talking about, I only want to make sure people considering chiropractic treatment that there are risks. I have nothing to gain from this. Can chiropractors say the same? Make sure you get both sides of the story!
Q: Budgeted single mom over 40 interested in attending nursing school. How? Should I? Financing? First Steps?
I have allowed the enormity of the questions I am asking to stop me from doing anything and can not afford to be inactive about this decision any longer.
I am single, non insured, currently in great health, licensed esthetician operating my own business out of a Chiropractic Wellness clinic. I Love my career but believe there may be limitations to it’s ability to provide a solid retirement for me as a single mom.
Benefits to what I do now: Incredible flexibility in schedule, sufficient income for my current situation, great work environment, ability to increase income.
Disadvantages: No insurance provided, No retirement, Luxury business in a somwhat economically challenged area.
My thought is to return to college (existing credits of about sophmore level initially business major) to acquire nursing degree ( which one? I don’t know) Combine with Esthetics license and work for plastic surgeon.
Any thoughts, input or suggestions would be appreciated!
A: A growing number of medical schools are offering free or reduced-cost degrees.
The Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine is waiving tuition for all its future students.
The University of Central Florida will pay all tuition and living expenses for the entering class of its new medical school.
Q: Chiropractor, but no pain?
I was offered a wellness exam for $20 at a local chiropractic office. After the exam they said my neck was too straight (only 7 degrees opposed to the 45 its supposed to be) and that I would start to experience degeneration soon if I did not start treatment. The thing is, I feel fine, experience no aches or pains, and am in good physical shape. Should I take a proactive approach and go through with the 36 sessions they suggested I take, or would they just be taking me for my $2500?
I am 25 years old.
A: Skeeeeeetz shouldn’t be surprised that people think he is using the same response to every questions, because he is! Copy/Paste is a wonderful feature, huh skeeeeeetz? He has no idea what he’s talking about, so just ignore him. He’s not even in the health profession! I have a feeling the only reason he gets “best answer” so much is that he has multiple profiles and just votes for himself. Very clever Skeeeeeetz, but a person with a brain wouldn’t buy into your terrible opinions and lousy advice.
To answer your question, I’d say get a second opinion as well. Postural screenings are effective sometimes to look for muscle imbalances, but sometimes you can’t help but question the integrity of the examiner. There is a danger in a loss in the lordosis of your neck (the straight-neck syndrome) but restoring the lordosis is a lot more difficult than just a bunch of adjustments. It is true that improper motion can cause early degeneration, so it might be worth investigating some form of early prevention.
There is a lot of muscle pull on the bones as well, so unless they’re offering to do muscle re-education too, I’d be just a little wary. I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt and could possibly help with more than just your posture, but I’d just say consult another chiropractor and see if he agrees with the first one’s findings. Hope that helps!
Q: Is there something wrong with my resume?
In the past month, I have sent out about 80 resumes. Despite all this effort, I have only received one request for an interview. I’m wondering if there is anything I can improve on my resume that may help me stand out to prospective employers. Pasted below are the “objective”, “experience”, “education”, and “skills” portions of my resume. Please keep in mind that I am straight out of school and fairly young, which is why I do not have much experience listed. In addition, the gap in my employment between last June and now can be explained by some personal family issues, moving 500 miles across the state, and getting married. If anyone is wiling to take a look and give me some constructive criticism, it would be greatly appreciated.

A: first: you’ve got good experience and are quite “job worthy” for the type of position you appear to be applying for.
it feels a bit too informal. don’t just say “i have many specialised skills” actually list all of them. you need to use less paragraphs. have it set up with headings, sub headings then discuss it in point form eg:
Employment
* 05/01-11/01 worked at xxx as a ???. duties were ***, ***,
* (you get the idea)
do the same with skills
keep it SHORT and straight to the point. no one wants to read too much

Michael,
The HAS’s actually cost me ( the broker) money. High deductible plans have lower premiums which = lower commission.
The HSA bank account provides no benefit to the broker/agent and saves the insured hundreds if not thousands over traditional plans. I suggest you learn about HAS plans if you are going to comment on them. I woul dbe glad to run you a quote you can use to compare to health link.
