Q: Chiropractic School?
Does anyone know of any Chiropractic Schools in Chicago? If so, where? How about in Arizona?

A: Checked for Chicago and there showing no school located in that area. But I found a website that you can search for other States that have accredited schools. Hope I could help you.

Q: Can you get into chiropractic school with a GED?
Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I likely will not be able to get my high-school diploma, but it’s been my dream for a long time to be a chiropractor… Will a chiropractic college accept applicants with just a GED?
Or are they as strict about admissions as a university?

A: I don’t think Highschool grades or GED matter much. You would have to do the college pre-requisites to enter Chiro college though. It’s basically pre-med. Some schools may even require a bachelors degree now. See the following site and check out the various colleges and their current requirements. Best of luck

A: The person above is completely wrong, and does not understand chiropractic care, and has not seen the research that proves it works.

Anyway, to get into a chiropractic school, you must have some college education. They will require several physics classes, chemistry classes, and the general science questions. But, I strongly advise you to get a bachelor’s degree, because most states require chiropractors to have a bachelors. Pretty soon, all of them will (which I agree with). So you need to spend 4 years to get your bachelors degree.
Good luck, and you can do it!

Q: Are there tests you need to take to get into Chiropractic school?
If I want to attend Chiropractic school, are there any exams I must take to get in?

Or to practice? Must I take a board exam or something to start practicing?

A: You need a four-year pre-med type of program and then four years of chiropractic college (and some use the MCAT for entrance testing). Yes, there are board exams and sometimes state exams before you can start practicing as a chiropractor.

Q: Will being a US army healthcare specialist help prepare me for chiropractic school?
I would really like to serve my country but i feel being a 68w might help prepare and or give me an advantage for chiropractic school…or would it be a better idea to just do infantry…Would like to hear from all 68w’s but all help is much appreciated!

A: I’m not a medic, but all the medics I hang out with (two of my best friends are medics) have never done anything chiropractic-like. It will give you some medical experience and some background, but you’re still going to have to go to all the civilian training that you would have to do if you were an 11B or 68W. Do the MOS you enjoy the most and then do the civilian training after you get out. Good luck.

Q: I am going to Chiropractic school but want to join the Air National Guard, they have an opening for TAC’P?
Would this be a good idea or even possible while attending school? I am willing to postpone my start to Chiropractic school or even take a year off for training. Thanks for your help.

A: See if you can get ROTC or something to pay for college if you join, find out what the obligations are once you join, then determine how much time this will take out of your life and if you are cool with that. But remember that serving your country is one of the most honorable and noble things that you can do, plus you will get benefits for the rest of your life.

Q: Can I go to a Chiropractic school like Palmer or Parker right out of high school?
Or do I need to get a Bachelor’s Degree in something like Anatomy to get into a Chiropractic school?

A: you pretty much need a Bachelor’s Degree, you can be a few classes short and finish at the chiropractic school. But i won’t recommend it, they charge a arm and a leg. I know i am a chiropractor. The chiropractic program is 4 years long after your Bachelor’s Degree after you graduate you’ll most likely work as an associate until you open up your own practices.

Q: Admission decisions between chiropractic school and physical therapy school.?
I got admissions from chiropractic school and physical therapy school. Both programs are doctorate course. Of course I love both schoo and Both jobs. I am female. Which has better aspect in the future? The patient of chiropractor is only asian?

A: This is a very difficult question to answer. Overall, in terms of earning potential, chiropractor is probably higher. There are PTs who do make as much as the highest earning chiropractors who are both usually owners of their own clinics. However, it’s somewhat less common for PTs to open their own practice…most usually work for hospitals, clinics, nursing homes or health agencies. The earning potential in these positions is less.

However, the competition in the chiropractic field is incredibly fierce. Where I live, the number one practitioner to have a claim against their professional license is a chiropractor….and it’s almost always for defaulting on student loans because they just can’t be successful in their business. In other words, their businesses often fail.

In the end, if you can make a successful private practice as either a PT or a DC, you can have a very prosperous career. However, in my opinion, the chances of having a successful chiropractic practice is often limited. As far as job stability and availability, PT is definitely the way to go.

Q: How hard is chiropractic school ? Is it worth the time and money?
Chiropractic, physical therapy, law I dont know what would be more worth it….Im the average joe so would chiropractic be something i can manage or not?

A: Chiroquackery School is not hard at all. The entrance standards are FAR lower than for Medical Schools or one of the other ethical medical professions.

The question is—why would you want to go ? Chiropractors are taught superstitious mumbo-jumbo that’s just not true. (They think blockages in the spine cause all disease). Chiropractors have such poor understanding of science that they’re constantly embarrassing themselves with worthless gizmos that they foist on their patients—for example magnets that they wave up and down the spine to get rid of “imbalances”. The point of chiropractic practices is to hook patients into as many bogus and expensive “preventative” spinal sessions as possible. Chiropractors have a MAJOR problem with ethics. And now I hear very few chiropractors make decent money.

If you want to do spinal manipulation in a more or less ethical manner, think about attending a School of Osteopathy.

See the website below to understand what chiroquackery is all about.

Q: How hard is chiropractic school and what is it like?
If you have gone to a school I would really appreciate your input. Especially Life or Logan. Thanks!

A: The question is how much do you really want to be a chiropractor? I saw “smart” people end up dropping out because they couldn’t keep up. I saw people with no science background at all whiz through. You need to have a Bachelor’s Degree first, and it doesn’t matter what the degree is in. Then you go to a 4 year chiropractic school. The first two years are spent entirely in the classroom learning all the sciences, which are very heavy in Anatomy & Physiology. Then you finally get to do an internship where you take care of actual patients while finishing up your studies and taking your board exams. Take it from me, you only want to go to one school, and that’s in Atlanta, Georgia. Here is their website: http://www.life.edu It is STILL the largest and best rated school in the world. If you have any further questions, please feel free to e-mail me.

Q: Can I still get into a Chiropractic School without getting a Pre-Chiropractic degree?

Q: Does anyone know someone who just graduate from a Chiropractic School?
I am looking to open a Chiropactic clinic, i need someone who just graduate and licenceed to partnered with.
I am looking to open a Chiropractic clinic in Jacksonville, Fl I need someone in the area that’s just graduated from a Chiropractic school to be partnered with.

A: I know several people that just graduated from Chiropractic school, what city and state are you looking to partner in? I graduated in 2007, and have several friends that are currently looking

Q: What are typical majors for students preparing to go to chiropractic school?

A: Things like bio, chem, or anything along with the premed classes. Which is rather strange if you think about it, because those same students, despite all the science classes they took, still didn’t manage to learn or figure out that chiropractic ‘medicine’ is one big scam. It doesn’t work. It never did. It’s a complete waste of your time and money, and the time, money, and health of chiropractic clients. If you really want to help someone, just get a real medical degree. If alternative medicine actually worked, it wouldn’t be alternative.

Q: My husband has decided to go to Chiropractic school which will take about 4 years. ?
I am a stay at home mom and we’d like it to stay that way because of the young ages of our children. Does anyone have a legitimate way to make some money from home? I already sell on Ebay some.

A: First thing you want to do is lower your overhead which will be rent and utilities. Look at HUD Georgia website, there are assistance programs out there that offer significant discount for rent or sometimes free rent with subsidized utilities as well.

http://www.hud.gov/local/index.cfm?state=ga&topic=renting

In terms of making money, there are numerous ways to make money from home. As you allude to, eBay is one option. Look through craigslist.org for the Atlanta area, pick up items for free or very cheap price, and resell them on eBay.

You can blog and earn money that way.

Q: What’s the best Chiropractic School in the US AND in the world>?
Hi, I’m a Biology major and I want to become a Chiropractor, so far I haven’t had much time to look at all my options. I know there are schools out there that can train you to be the best at this and that, so where can I be trained to be one of the best Chiropractors? I would specifically like to know that, thanks

A: It depends on what you want, but I will give you a bit of what the chiropractic street thinks of a couple of schools. I graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences Univ. and it is a good school, it is very demanding and they will work the hell out of you. The education there is both chiropractic but with an appreciation of allopathic as well. Some schools have the attitude that all medical is bad bad, they are Sherman, and Life. Both schools are jokes and many people that take the boards rely on these schools to lower the standards so marginal students at other schools can pass. True story, I am not making this up, these schools are so bad they actually stop classes and hold special classes on how to get through boards. Good schools do not have to do this. Western States is similar to Northwestern. Palmer is also a well regarded school, but again less medical. In Canada THE school is CMCC and they only take a few students with a very high GPA. In my class there was a gal that wanted to get into CMCC in the worst way, and she worked very hard, a straight A student. She did make it and transferred. If you are science minded check out either Northwestern or Western States as these might be a good fit.
